SBC cutter grinders reportedly reduce the cost of carbide and high-speed spiral-gear-cutter (stick) blades, improve quality, and shorten cycle times. They consistently grind parts to ±5 µ and sport 49-hp, 10,000-rpm spindles, automatic wheel changers for 8-in. (200-mm) wheels, and high-volume, pick-andplacetype autoloaders. To reduce runout and deflection and improve wheel life, surface finish, and part tolerance, a Big Plus wheelmounting system ensures precise running of grinding wheels. The grinders also have in-process dressing for HSS stick blades.
