Optical assemblies move in the X-axes across angled steel cross beams while parts move in Y-axes on precision servo-driven stages. Both use high-resolution scales for positional feedback. Flash 500s include AccuCentric 12 motorized zoom lenses that automatically calibrate at every magnification change. They also have multiple illumination sources.
