With two stations on its turret-type wheelhead, the Taiyo Koki IGV-3NT vertical grinding machine switches among internal, external, and face grinding with one chucking — a capability for jobs needing 1µ roundness. Internal-grinding-spindle options include 0.6 to 7.9-in. diameters and programmable speed from 9,000 to 75,000 rpm. External-grinding-wheel diameters are 7.9 in. with 2,400 to 3,700 rpm. The IGV-3NT's main spindle handles 40 to 800 rpm.
