The latest release of Mastercam includes new functions for multi-axis toolpaths such as shank and holder-collision detection, which checks to make sure tooling setups did not strike and damage parts. There is an advanced checking procedure for 5-axis flowline machining and approach/retract checking to make sure that tools are not violating parts. Additional new tools for Mastercam are undercut programming, setting negative stock for flat end mills, and improved and expanded translators.
