Kitagawa's DL Series dual-lock power chucks are reportedly the first radial-guideway power chucks with no jaw lifting and Z-axis repeatability near zero. The chucks actuate and clamp parts using traditional radial actuation. Then, in the second part of the actuation, they perform a final, axial, Z-axis-pullback movement to a fixed stop for accurate length control and axial repeatability. The DL Series features wide-gripping diameters for I.D. and O.D. work.
