With a compact exterior, the Index V160C chucking machine offers a large work area accessible from two sides. This allows integration of internal or external-grinding spindles, multispindle drill heads, high-frequency drill and mill spindles, or large milling heads. The machine comes standard with one spindle and up to three tool carriers.

Nominal chuck dia for the V160C is 6 ¹ /2 or 8 in. at 5,000 rpm from 28 hp. The main spindle's X axis comes with a linear motor for rapid traverse rates of 3,150 ipm and 1-G acceleration rates.
