The new Exocarb Aero Rougher from OSG Tap & Die is designed for maximum metal removal of exotic materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel. The combination of the shallow profile serration and the 45-degree helix provides a smooth surface finish. Serrations on the cutting edge reduce friction, thereby generating less heat and requiring less horsepower than standard or variable helix carbide end mills. The tool is available in 0.250-in. to 1-in. diameters and with corner radii from 0.030 in. to 0.190 in.
