Sandvik Coromant has opened its new Chicago Productivity Center in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The Center is focused on helping American manufacturers maximize productivity and profitability through understanding and application of the latest technologies in cutting tools, machine tools and machining processes.

The facility will present live demonstrations, seminars and advanced theory-based training courses.

The Center contains classrooms, meeting areas, a tooling showroom and a dedicated machining floor.

Machine tools from Deckel Maho, Gildemeister, Haas, Mazak, Mori Seiki and Okuma are at the facility to allow a variety of machining technologies to be displayed to visitors and those who attend training seminars.

The Chicago Productivity Center is the fourth of its kind in North America for Sandvik Coromant, joining the company’s existing facilities in Fair Lawn, N.J., Mississauga, Ont., and Monterey, Mexico.
