IBAG North America (www.ibagnorthamerica.com) said its new air-cooled “Plug and Go” HFK 95 S40 high-speed spindles are designed for fast and easy setup in vertical or horizontal machining centers. The spindles are rated at 4 hp peak power and 2.6 hp continuous duty, and provide infinitely variable speeds to 42,000 rpm.

HFK 95 “Plug and Go” spindles can be adapted automatically through Automatic Tool Change (ATC) (Option Q) from the tool magazine into the main spindle of the machining center. This is possible through the automatic coupling for electricity and pneumatics. With air cooling and grease lubrication, only a small supply unit with integrated converter and a pressurized air feed are required.
