MAG Maintenance Technologies (www.maint-tec.com

) has formed a business unit to provide productivity enhancement products worldwide to operators of any of more than 50 machine tool brands and the manufacturing industry.

The MAG Productivity Solutions group was launched as a single source for productivity enhancements and to help manufacturers to reduce the cost of equipment ownership, while providing core contract maintenance services.

The business unit has an exclusive agreement with Technicut tools that it expects to use to help customers to select the correct cutting tools, it intends to supply advanced factory optimization software solutions and sensory technologies, and it has rebuilding, remanufacturing, and retrofitting capability for the machine tools it covers.

"The bottom line is this: Our products and services increase throughput efficiency, lower variable manufacturing costs and increase opportunities for our customers," Michael J. Judge, director of the Productivity Solutions group, said.
