(www.distechsystems.com) has introduced the new DS1200-MTL robotic machine tool tray loader to provide an accurate, reliable alternative to costly conveyor automation and tedious operator tending. The new, compact system, which is compatible with most machine tools, uses robotic technology to load and unload parts. The ability to perform secondary operations like part washing, packout and stacking allows the system to operate as a versatile workcell.

The DS1200-MTL accepts stacks of trays from carts, eliminating operator lifting. From a position next to the machine tool, the robotic arm feeds parts directly into the chuck, spindle, fixture, or the machine tool's internal loader. The robot can also load and unload auxiliary equipment during a machining process.
