Bridgeport is introducing the GX 1000 B boxway machining center with an introductory price of $59,990. Bridgeport says the new rigid boxway design significantly dampens vibration at the cut to achieve excellent surface finishes, longer tool life and the ability to take deep, heavy cuts.
Features include 17.3 hp (13 kW) 8,000 rpm spindle, 2-speed gearbox option, 47.2 in. by 19.68 in. (1,200 mm by 500 mm) table capacity, 1,540 lb. (700 kg) table weight capacity, 40 in. by 24 in. by 22 in. (1,000 mm by 600 mm by 550 mm) X/Y/Z travels and a 20-tool Automatic Tool Changer.
