Royal Products, Hauppauge, NY, (www.royalprod.com) has introduced a line of Precision ER collet chucks with runout less than 0.0001-in. TIR between the O.D. and I.D. socket. When used with the company's Ultra-Precision ER collet chucks, the company says the overall system accuracy is 0.0003-in. TIR.

The central thru-coolant collet chucks have tapered shanks ground to AT-3 specifications and specially ground clamping nuts to ensure roundness. They are available in lengths to suit ER-11, ER-16, ER-20, ER-25, ER-32 and ER-40 collets. All Royal ER collet chucks are dynamically balanced to G2.5 at 18,000 rpm and include serialized balance certificates.
