Carlos M Cardoso was named president and chief executive officer of Kennametal Inc. (www.kennametal.com) replacing Markos I. Tambakeras, who is now executive chairman of Kennametal's board of directors. Prior to his appointment, Cardoso was executive vice president and chief operating officer responsible for the company's manufacturing operations.
