Cutters for holemaking
11/10/2005

Copperhead annular cutters from Hougen Manufacturing Inc., Flint, Mich., have carbide-tip cutting edges brazed onto a steel body for wear resistance when drilling hard alloys or abrasive cast irons. They come in diameters from 0.5625 in. to 1.5 in. for holemaking to 2-in. depth of cut.

The resharpenable tools have a dual flat shank for use in the company's portable magnetic drills. With a spindle adapter, they can be used in stationary drill presses, lathes and machining centers. www.hougen.com
